Dolch Words

Dolch Words are high frequency words which children are encouraged to learn to aid in the process of reading. Developed by Edward William Dolch, PhD in 1936 and published in his book, Problems in Reading in 1948, the list contains 220 words in 5 levels to correspond to the words a child should know by the end of pre-school, kindergarten, first grade, second grade and third grade.
